After releasing an exciting teaser for his album in late July, with his single "For All", So Durand is set to release his full length 7 song project, Miserable Fortune, on October 30th, 2020.

As an ode to the dichotomy of life, the project encompasses his signature somber, ethereal feel, with rich and punchy drum breaks and heavy bass tones - though it's like nothing you've heard from him before. With both enticing highs, and moody lows, the album is a work of art - flowing effortlessly from one song to the next.

If the songs didn't already speak volumes for themselves, every detail, from the transitions, to the song titles were meticulously thought out. Each song title strings together to form a complete sentence, as does the audio - which brings the listener through a complete journey from start to finish in both the written and auditory experience.

Miserable Fortune Tracklist

1. Unravel
2. The Perception Of
3. A Dystopian
4. Reality (feat. O-HU)
5. To Fabricate (feat. Sacha Foster)

What inspired this album?
The ugly and the beautiful aspects of life in all it's facets...

What would you tell listeners about this project?
i luh u (Yoel Romero voice).

Why "Miserable Fortune"?
It's a bit like a modern yin yang where everything has a bit of the opposite in it, and this just so happens to be the dark side of it.

How did you get started with music?
Once upon a time, a long long time ago... (yawn).

If you had to describe yourself as an artist in one sentence, what would that be?
If James Blake couldn't sing, was on psychedelics, and only made break heavy music - while battling what he perceived to be his inner demons in that moment.

What is your music suited for? (When / what activity)?
On a serious note, this music is best suited for headphones while doing something serious... or not. Hell, you don't even need headphones... DEFINITELY best while wearing a Miserable Fortune hat though.
